Dopo il museo

(Museo Archeologico di Napoli)

The first international project I carried out with the Crossing Lab team at the University of Barcelona focused on the city of Pompeii and the artworks found there, preserved today in the Archaeological Museum of Naples.

6 artists from various disciplines, led by professors J. Egea and R. Casanova, visited the city on different occasions and obtained licenses to work inside the Archaeological Museum of Naples. I personally made a series of small color notes and drawings.

Back in Barcelona I made a series of larger paintings, inspired by Pompeian paintings and curly bronze heads.

Together with the team we moved our pieces back to Naples, where they were exhibited at the Museum and at the Cervantes Institute, and a catalog of the project was published, all financed by the Ramon Llull Institute, among others. Later the exhibition was shown in Barcelona (Biblioteca Joan Oliver) and in Sabadell (Acadèmia de Belles Arts).
